The Challenge

The Unrealizex Animation Hackathon is an unique opportunity for animators, artists, and storytellers from around the world to come together and showcase their creativity through powerful storytelling. The challenge encourages out of the box thinking & raw creativity. Turn your vision into reality. For the creative thinkers, by the 3d Artists

You'll have seven days to produce a 20 to 60-second 3D animated video based on a theme of your choice. Rules and various Themes will be released on November 1, 2025. Are you ready to bring your vision to life?

Rules & Info

Registration & Eligibility

Eligibility: Open to anyone worldwide. Participants must register with a valid, verifiable email address.

Team Size: Individuals or teams of up to three people may enter. Each of the participants need to register individually.

Registration: Click the "Register Now" button! Registration is open.

Hackathon: Starts Nov 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, submission deadline on Nov. 8,2025 17:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Submission Requirements

Video Length: Minimum 20 seconds, maximum 60 seconds.

Resolution & Formats: 2K or 4K resolution. Submit as a .mov or .mp4 file. You must also submit the .obj files for all 3D assets used.

Platform: A submission portal will be provided to registered participants for uploading final files.

Mandatory Content: At least one Unrealizex-generated asset must appear in the animation. Submissions must include a credits file listing all assets and software used.

Rules & Restrictions

Originality: All animations must be original and created entirely within the hackathon window.

Assets: Use copyright free assets generated from Unrealizex or your own custom work. No copyrighted visuals, music, or voice recordings are permitted.

Theme Adherence: The storyline must clearly reflect one of the chosen themes.

Fair Play: Do not publish your animation publicly before the judging period ends.

Judging & Voting

Scoring: 60% of the score is determined by a panel of professional judges, and 40% comes from community voting.

Judging Criteria: Creativity/Originality, Technical Skill/Animation Quality, Storytelling/Emotional Impact

Voting Process: All eligible entries will be posted on the hackathon site for public voting. Each viewer can vote once per entry.
